ROSA 4 Rockland’s mission to educate and support local residents in advocating for sustainable local development that protects our natural environment and community character. Currently the Town of Ramapo is engaged in an arguable unusual process that will lead to updates to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. There is abundant local concern that the process is focused more on where to find opportunities for increased development rather than identifying opportunities to strengthen the protection of our current unique environmental resources.
We encourage every ROSA supporter and follower to participate first hand in the Town’s public meetings for all the areas of Ramapo and we ask that you join us in petitioning the Town of Ramapo to focus up front on comprehensive planning goals as part of their planning process.
